Born and raised in Ohio, Greg and I, along with our two kids, who were in high school at the time, made our dream of moving South a reality in 2008.

At a going-away party before the move, I met my very first Goldendoodle… and that was it. I was completely smitten. I came home and immediately started searching for our own (I have a feeling you know exactly how that goes).

That search led us to our first two Goldendoodles, Bella and Bailey, from a local Ohio breeder. At the time, I had never worked with a breeder before and didn’t really know what to expect. The experience was good, but I remember thinking it could have been better. Looking back, that moment quietly shaped everything I would go on to build.

If you had told me back then that I would one day become a breeder myself, I would have laughed. Truly. Yet here we are, building BellaDoodles since 2010, and I can’t imagine life any other way.

BellaDoodles started slowly and intentionally. Bella was an F1b Goldendoodle, and we kept back her daughters as part of our family and future BellaMoms. From there, we built our multigen program one generation at a time. I was one of the first breeders to develop tuxedo and multigen Goldendoodles, and today we are proud to be in our 8th generation, including the signature tuxedo Goldendoodles that so many families have come to love. In 2025, we welcomed Bernedoodles into the BellaDoodle family too.

From the beginning, our focus has always been on health, temperament, and personality. The fact that they are incredibly beautiful is simply the icing on the cake.

What has never changed is how much I love working with our families. BellaDoodles is a true family program, not a big kennel, so every litter and every family gets my personal attention. From your very first question to your pup’s senior years, you’ll talk with me, not a staff member or an assistant. Every BellaBaby deserves a start filled with love, structure, and intention, and every family deserves to feel supported every step of the way. Many of our families are bringing home their very first dog, and my support doesn’t end on go-home day. It’s there for the life of your pup.

In 2022 and 2023, we said goodbye to Bella and Bailey at 14.5 years old, along with our sweet Gabby-Gold and rescue doodle, Tig. More recently, we said goodbye to our cherished Roxy-Roo, from Bella’s very first litter. Those losses were incredibly hard, but Bella’s legacy continues in the most meaningful way.

Today, we live in Hartwell, Georgia, in a home thoughtfully designed for BellaDoodle life, where our program and our pack live side by side. Ry, Whiskey, and Boone, each a great-great-grandpup of Miss Bella, carry her legacy forward right here at home, where BellaDoodles began. And our sweet Bernedoodle, Cider, rounds out the pack.
